A quiz site that respects your time
Appbizy is a small, independent trivia project: 30 quizzes, 300 questions, and an explanation after every single answer.
What this site is
Appbizy is a free trivia library. Every quiz follows the same format: ten multiple-choice questions, four options each, exactly one correct answer, and a short explanation the moment you choose. The explanation is the point. Anyone can tell you that you got a question wrong; the useful part is knowing why the other answer was right.
There are currently 30 quizzes spread across 8 categories, from world flags and capitals through to dinosaurs, mythology, video games and the history of the internet.
How the questions are written
Every question is written and checked by hand rather than scraped from a question dump. We aim for three things:
- Accuracy. Facts are checked against reference sources, and questions where the "correct" answer is genuinely disputed are either avoided or worded to acknowledge it.
- Fair distractors. The three wrong options are plausible. A question you can answer by elimination alone is a wasted question.
- A reason to stay. Each explanation adds a fact you did not have before, so a round of ten questions leaves you with something.
How it is built
The whole site is plain HTML, CSS and vanilla JavaScript. No React, no Vue, no CSS framework, no build-time bloat and no tracking scripts. Pages are pre-generated as static HTML, which is why they load almost instantly even on a weak connection.
Your best score for each quiz is saved with localStorage in your own browser. There is no account system, so there is nothing to log into and nothing for us to leak.
Found a mistake?
Facts move and typos happen. If you spot a question that is wrong, outdated or badly worded, tell us on the contact page and it will be corrected.
Where to start
If you want a recommendation: the World Flags Quiz is the friendliest opener, the Countries & Borders Quiz is the one that humbles people, and the Science Challenge sits comfortably in the middle. Or browse the full library.
