Most people can name more capital cities than organs, and the numbers rarely match expectations.
An adult skeleton has 206 bones, but a newborn starts with roughly 300 that fuse during childhood — which is why the "how many bones" question trips people up. Similar surprises run through the whole system: the small intestine is far longer than the large one, the strongest muscle depends entirely on how you define strength, and the brain runs on about twenty per cent of your total energy despite weighing barely more than a kilogram.
